Refund Policy

Last updated July 2026

1. Preview before you pay

Every paid document can be compiled as a watermarked preview before checkout, and many documents are free. Please use the preview — it is the best way to confirm the document fits your situation before you buy.

2. When we refund

  • You were charged twice for the same document.
  • The document failed to generate or download and we could not fix it.
  • The document delivered is materially different from what the product page described.
  • You were charged in error (for example an accidental purchase reported within 24 hours and not yet downloaded as a clean file).

Requests in these cases are approved within 14 days of purchase.

3. When we usually cannot refund

  • You have already downloaded, signed or used the clean, unwatermarked document and simply changed your mind.
  • The answers you entered were incorrect — regenerating the same document with corrected answers is free from your account.
  • The document did not achieve a legal or commercial outcome. Our documents are not legal advice.

If your situation falls outside these lists, contact us anyway. We review requests case by case and would rather fix a problem than keep money from an unhappy customer.

4. Bundles

Where a discounted add-on was bought alongside a main document, refunds are calculated on the discounted amount actually paid for each item.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@thevaultdoc.com from your account email with the document name and the date of purchase (both are listed on your account page next to the receipt). We reply within 2 business days.

6. Timing and access

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. When a purchase is refunded, access to that document is removed from your account.

7. Test purchases

Payments made in preview or test mode are not real charges and nothing needs to be refunded.

This page is maintained by The Vault Doc and describes our own practices. It is general information, not legal advice — review the documents you generate with a qualified professional before use.
